Our Love Story

It's crazy how unexpected meetings can truly change your life. 

      Spring 2024 Scott was finishing up his education at Indiana Wesleyan University. Lindsay was finishing her second year working at IWU. Scott decided it would be fun to take a theatre class his last semester and Lindsay was in need of help building the spring musical. Through many hours of cutting wood, building platforms and painting set pieces a budding friendship grew. Though two years apart in school, Scott was older, one month older to the day to be exact. 

      Fast forward a few months, it was the last day of the semester, graduation was in two days. Scott was chilling in the theatre that afternoon playing Mario Kart and hanging out with some theatre friends. Towards the end of the day Lindsay was locking up and said goodbye to everyone who was hanging out in the theatre common area (including Scott). She didn't know if she would ever see him again.

But the Lord had other plans.

       Just as Lindsay was closing her work shop door she heard her name being called. She turned to see Scott jogging down the hallway, with his film camera around his neck and his bag on his shoulder. Her heart jumped and his was beating a mile a minute. They both stopped; he asked about a date, she said yes and then they both had to go their separate ways. Lindsay shut the door, immediately called some friends, and proceeded to freak out. Scott went to practice a piano piece, played it the best he ever had, and didn't tell anyone until he nonchalantly mentioned it at dinner to his friends that evening. (Which pretty much sums up their relationship)​

The next year and a half was full of thrifting, antiquing, singing, movies, many adventures with friends and of course, falling in love. 

On October 25th, 2025 Scott got down on one knee and Lindsay said

the easiest YES of her life.
